: AOL – RTR:DU Block Update (spamhaus PBL blocks) http://www.blogaramma.com/?p=254
From AOL’s Postmaster from earlier this afternoon:
“We’ve had intermittent issues with RTR:DU (spamhaus PBL blocks) refuses beginning 2/23, which will be fixed by 10AM Eastern on Monday, March 8.
If you’ve been seeing RTR:DU errors and you have confirmed your sending IP is not listed in the Spamhaus PBL, your issue should be cleared on Monday. “
I was reading Annalivia Ford’s blog (As of today she is the former AOL Postmaster (Senior Technical Account Manager)) today and found this extremely useful tool to check your IP reputation across AOL’s servers.
AOL Reputation Checking Tool – http://postmaster.info.aol.com/cgi-bin/plugh/check_ip.pl
AOL’s description of the tool:
“This page is an interface to check additional statistics on a single IP. It is designed for you to check if your RDNS has propagated to the AOL network and review some quick statistics of an IP. Note: Customer service is unable to assist in the explanation of IP statistics. Please review the FAQ section to get a better understanding of these statistics.”
It’s also noted in her blog entry (as well as a post on emailexperts.org) that AOL’s postmaster team is now housed in India.
Good luck to Annalivia and thanks to all she has done for AOL’s Postmaster Team.
@NoahJS It’s part of the current version and available now. Great product, I’m looking forward to our clients playing with it.
Just had a great conversation with @NoahJS with @DrinkersList. Smart guy who’s definitely going places. Look forward to chatting again soon.
: Yahoo! Connectivity Back to Normal http://www.blogaramma.com/?p=245
Got a message from the Yahoo! Postmaster team tonight:
“Things are back to normal, folks. Connectivity stabilized at ~11:30am PST. We hope no one was terribly inconvenienced.”
Just received the following from the Yahoo! Postmaster team.
“We’re seeing intermittent connectivity issues across our yahoo.com MXes starting early this morning.
If you are suddenly seeing queues to Yahoo! Mail, please stay tuned for updates and please refrain (at least for now) from contacting our Postmaster team about any deferral issues you started experiencing today. We’re doing our best to get this resolved ASAP.”
I will update again once I receive an update.
